Powell Valley Chamber of Commerce
is a tool for progress
The Chamber represents and promotes the Powell area economy and business, which will broaden the tax base and provide employment. To business prospects and newcomers, the Chamber represents the community's self image. Arriving in Powell, Wyoming for the first time visitors immediately experience the feeling of coming home -- giving instant awareness to fond childhood and family memories.
Basic to all activities of the Chamber is its unifying influence, made easy by the true Community Spirit prevalent on every street. Through committee involvement, our Chamber members contribute to an organizational effort that is mutually beneficial to the community and to the individual. Active committees include:
Ambassadors
The “fun” committees of the Powell Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Ambassadors welcome new businesses and celebrate business milestones by hosting business ribbon cuttings. They also assist with both Chamber events, including monthly Business After Hours, and with greetings and registrations for conferences, sports events and other large gatherings.
Marketing Committee
A new committee in 2007 - the committee will work in conjunction with community partners, the Park County Travel Council and Wyoming Travel & Tourism to promote visitation to Powell, and will work to plan events & promotions to draw visitors to the Powell community.
Membership Committee
A new committee in 2007 - the committee will begin development of a comprehensive benefits package incorporating new technologies and new ideas that will help grow member businesses.
Economic Development Alliance
The Powell Valley Economic Development Alliance works to promote economic development, encourage new business, and nurture existing businesses in Powell. For additional information visit the Economic Development Alliance website at www.powelled.org
