Recreation

City Parks

The City of Powell has 15 Parks made up of 125 acres of turf grass. Parks have a full aray of amenities including large grassy areas, picnic tables and shelters, playgrounds, tennis courts, skate / BMX street course park, wading pool, band shell, 1.50 miles of paved pedestrian trail, four softball, three little league, one Legion one Babe-Ruth baseball fields along with two practice baseball fields one for youth and one for Legion and Babe-Ruth.

Powell Recreation District

The Powell Recreation District provides outstanding recreation and exercise opportunities to the Powel community. Activities include:

Ice Skating

Ice skating is available at the outdoor ice arena in Homesteader Park as soon as cold temperatures permit - usually in mid-December. The arena is equipped with night lighting, side boards and a multipurpose building containing restrooms, skate equipment and concessions. The skate shop, located in the warming house has all sizes of skated for children & adults. The skate shop also offers an assortment of drinks and snacks. There is no charge to use the rink. The rink open from 11:00 AM - 10:00 daily, weather permitting. Rental skates are available!
