The Powell Chamber of Commerce supports and promotes businesses across the Powell Valley.
Meet the dedicated team behind the Powell Chamber, a group of professionals who are passionate about supporting local businesses, welcoming visitors, and strengthening the community. From economic development and event coordination to visitor services and regional promotion, our staff works together to help Powell remain a vibrant place to live, work, and explore.
Michela Morrissey
Michela Morrissey is the Executive Director of PEP/Powell Chamber/Powell Visitor Center. She leverages her 10 years’ of museum experience, to help build and maintain relationships and help support and grow existing businesses. Michela has a Master’s Degree from Johns Hopkins University and previously worked for local intuitions including the Buffalo Bill Center of the West and The Homesteader Museum. Michela first came to Powell as an AmeriCorps VISTA in 2020. In her free time Michela enjoys running, skiing and knitting.
Renee Hanlin
Renee Hanlin is the Executive Assistant for PEP/Powell Chamber/Powell Visitor Center. She provides support to the Executive Director and Board and is the lead for the Visitor’s Center greeters. Renee is often the first point of contact for visitors and plays a crucial role in helping to plan and execute PE’s events. She was raised in Cheyenne and attended UW. Renee studied abroad in France, attended graduate school at the University of Virginia, and has also lived and worked in Oklahoma and Quito, Ecuador. Renee is interested in other cultures and loves children, reading, and the great outdoors.
Jessica Lum-Williams
Jessica Lum is the Grants Manager for Powell Economic Partnership. Her primary task is to coordinate PEP’s Intermediary AmeriCorps VISTA Program that builds capacity and addresses poverty in our community throughout Park County. Jessica has a B.A. in Communications from Idaho State University and a Master's in Applied Anthropology from Northern Arizona University.
Visitor Center Greeter
The Powell Visitor Center relies on part-time staff year-round to keep residents and visitors informed about where to stay, things to do, and places to eat. Our knowledgeable staff promotes the region so that visitors and residents have the best possible experience. Mary Wells is a Chamber Ambassador and a life-long resident and community contributor.
