Ride Like JWP Bike Race

Saturday, May 21st 9am – 11am
Can you ride like John Wesley Powell?  Sign up to ride paved and gravel roads around barley fields, complete two challenges then brave the firehose finish for this legendary 20 mile race. Ride as a team to complete the challenges or solo. Oh yeah, all while one-handed like our namesake John Wesley Powell, ok so this is just a one-handed start! Riders need to be 12 years old and up. We encourage kids who are experienced long-distance riders.  This “fun” race is long-enough for avid riders to enjoy themselves and it is short-enough for an adult novice to be challenged.

Participants will receive a beard and a t-shirt at the registration table.  Race starts at 9AM Ride or cheer on the riders.

Register for the race!

Bearded Tent

Saturday, May 21st 11am – 8pm
Enjoy bourbon in the manly man tent. We will have manly monologues, grunting and create a ruckus.

Bourbon tastings will be at set times. Get a flight of bourbon and enjoy literary readings.

You can enjoy beer and bourbon at anytime. The bearded tent has a view of the Big Horn Mountains and yard games.

Bag a Beard Cornhole Tournament

Saturday, May 21st 12pm – 5:30pm
Not into biking?  Then play cornhole with your buddies. Or, play after you finish the race. Do you like to play more for fun than to win? Sign up for the Backyard Tournament and pay $25/ team. Do you play on a cornhole league or just feel like you can hang with the experts?  Sign up for the Advanced Tournament @ $35/ team. This tournament is sponsored by American Legion Cornhole League in Powell, WY.

Sign up to secure your spot!

Dance into the Night

Saturday, May 21st 6pm – 8pm
The community keeps asking for a dance and now you have got it! So, come out with a friend or your favorite partner and dance the night away. Ask the DJ to play your favorite song. The community dance takes place in the pavilion next to warming hut at Homesteader Park.
