Every day, more and more agricultural land is being sold off and farms are becoming smaller and smaller. Powell's economy is at risk if we allow our farmers to lose everything they worked generations for.

The Powell Economic Partnership is working to prevent this catastrophe from happening. With a food co-op, not only will farmers be able to diversify their income, but they will have the opportunity to network with other producers, share resources, find new industry buyers, and more. However, the construction of this co-op and the support of our producers can only happen with YOUR HELP!

On this upcoming #GivingTuesday on December 2nd, give a gift to support our economy and our producers. You can drop off or mail your cash or check tax deductible donation to the Powell Visitor's Center to be collected for the food co-op - just make sure to tell us which project it is going towards! Even $5 will make a difference in helping to support our producers and everything they do to help our town!

The Powell Economic Partnership has two ongoing projects that support keeping land agriculutral. The Agricultural Tipping Point Study will help to survey how land sales affect the economy, and the food co-op is intended to support producers by helping network and connecting them to industry buyers like schools and hospitals.

To show your support for Powell and the producers that support the economy, donate this #GivingTuesday to our agricultural projects!
